This Art Deco/Modernist necklace is in Excellent dazzling condition, and is likely from the fashion-forward collection called "Directives" by Monet mid-80s.
It is possible, too, that it was designed by YSL, as Monet was licensed to sell his designs during this period~~it certainly has the edgy glamour associated with YSL.
It's absolutely stunning, featuring a gleaming golden snake chain suspending a curvy centerpiece with pave ice rhinestones, blue and red princess-cut crystals, and jet enameling~~all punctuated by rich gold plating.
The necklace offers a removable extra link, measuring 16" with and 15" without the center focal extends 5" across and is 3/4" wide.
This elegant beauty is signed in back and on the closures, and perfectly exemplifies the couture quality and styling that has earned Monet its Collectible status!
